Grainne Healy

The study aims to map trafficking for sexual exploitation into and within Ireland, while also mapping the sex industry.

The results of the tendering process for research funded by The Immigrant Council of Ireland was announced today. Kelleher and Associates, with Monica O’Connor and Jane Pillinger have successfully come through a competitive tendering process. They plan to profile victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation being trafficked into and within Ireland, while also mapping the sex industry which acts as a demand and draw for such victims and also to research models of effective victim centered legislation which will ensure victim safety and state accountability.
