The Nordic Baltic network for support and assistance to women victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation, created in framework of the EWL Nordic Baltic Project, held an international conference: “Strengthened cooperation against trafficking in women – from national to regional strategies” in Vilnius on 5 October. The conference hosted a larger group of stakeholders from the Nordic Baltic region and beyond – focusing on victim-centred anti-trafficking approaches and strategies to combat trafficking in women for sexual exploitation. The national teams presented their work to the conference, and a panel with representatives from Council of Europe, OSCE, the POPPY Project, the Croatian Women’s Network and the Swedish Ambassador against Trafficking in Human Beings, spoke on anti-trafficking responses, regional cooperation models and victim-centred approaches.
